original dnd character + assorted canon character multi.dice rolled by sam (she/her, 24).
WELCOME
hi! i'm sam! i'm 24 & use she/her pronouns. this is an independent, selective, crossover-friendly blog. i'm quite new to the rpc, but i'm slowly learning!
APPEARANCE
i don't use small text, icons, or dividers, but you are welcome to! i'm happy to adjust my thread styles to make something easier or more accessible for you.
TRIGGERS
i use standard trigger tags ( I use "trigger tw" ie. #violence tw) but don't expect to post much content with serious harm or topics. if we interact, please let me know if there are any additional or specific triggers you’d like tagged– anon or not.
MUSES
i write two dnd / fantasy verse ocs! they both come from home games associated with strangewonderful which makes their main worlds kind of inaccessible, but i've developed other verses for them and I love creating new verses to fit other muses (i've added some tropes they might fit well in regardless of the world to their verse pages). i've also written a bit about their canon background, but i'm more than happy to throw them into other worlds to write them with you. i also have verse-jump threads where my main verse nora gets sent into your world and is trying to find her way home.
INTERACTIONS
feel free to interact directly with any of my original posts + reblog directly from me! i use likes very liberally - just to say hi, i see this, this fits your character so well. if you don't like interactions, i'm happy to stop.

01. HOUSE OF MADNESS
Main DND / Fantasy
Human Paladin
20-25 years old
Lacking any memory of her life before being pulled into the Shivering Isles, Nora has only the realm of madness to call home. The people are absurd, the ruling god Sheogorath a figure of chaos and danger. She wakes in the world with the god's symbol across her face, marking her one of his champions. Despite their strangeness, the people are more victims of the world than she is, so she lends herself to their protection and over time finds a corner of the capital to call her home. She keeps a small room at the central tavern, spending rare quiet days browsing the markets for ingredients and training with the sword and shield she is known for.
Associated with strangewonderful`s Nimrod Roy.

Human Paladin
Age Varies
Background
Oath
Nora Hashal spends the first part of her life on her parents' farm. It is a comfortable enough life, they make enough to get by, but her dreams are filled of the knights of great excitement and adventure that made up her bedtime stories. Without a formal education, her best way out is to join the local garrison as a solider. She works hard and is eager to please, following orders without question until her unit is sent to die in an unwinnable fight. As she wakes to the damage around her, she discards her unit's colors and sets off on her own, still believing in the shield-bearing knights of legend, but swearing that her name would never again belong to another.
03. MODERN

23 years old
Nora Hashal could not wait to escape the small town she grew up in, longing to leave the farm behind for the allure of the big city. To trade the spanning fields and dirt under her nails for neighbors her own age and a Target that's not in the next town over. She gets and quits a job in private security, and unwilling to return home after such a quick failure, stumbles upon a job listing for a farmhand. It comes with food and lodging, and Nora has missed more of her old life than she wants to admit, so she becomes the second occupant of the Carter farm.

04. LITTLE BUG IN THE BIG APPLE
Marvel 616 / HoM Spin Off.
Human Paladin
20-25 years old
If Nora found the world of madness strange, it still made more sense than the land of "New York," where hulking metal creatures roam between mazes of towering structures, higher than any building in the Shivering Isles. Nora does not know how to get home, but she knows she cannot stay. This world is loud and confusing and she is alone, aside from a curious masked young woman known as Lovebug who offers to help her find her way back.
Associated with lvebug`s Andie Eliot.

I am happy to throw Nora into a verse w your muse!
She fits in well as "the muscle," someone with an agricultural background, or a fantasy-verse solider / knight. I'm still figuring out her modern-verse (incl. marvel & dc) but she's not a modern soldier. her soldier background is tied to ideas of protection, duty, and honor.

— is a halfling artificer / fighter that first left home not to adventure, but to open a shop. she spends those first years working to lure as many mages and vagabonds as she can through her door, trying to learn everything about their world as they stop along the way to their next grand adventure. after enough study, she gets the push she needs to sell the shop and seek out the world for herself. she finds herself in amberstorm, where she joins an adventuring group under the masters of amber.

01. AMBERSTORM
Main DND / Fantasy
Halfling Artificer
20-25 years old
Corrin's hometown offered many things: the treats were delectable, the fruit fresh and homegrown, the community close knit and caring. It only lacked what she craved most: adventure. Having squeezed every story and skill she could out of the people at home, she set off to discover the world for herself, armed with some gold and her trusty set of work tools. She ends up at the port town of Amberstorm, where she knows no one but an old supplier from her since-closed shop. With the world before her, she finds new places, new foes, and new friends.

02. ENTERPRISE NX-01
Star Trek: Enterprise
Errichian Engineer
20-25 years old
Corrin is Errichian, a humanoid species with a relative resemblance to humans aside from their short stature (coming up ~4 feet tall at the highest), slightly pointed ears, and their longer lifespans (living into their second century). She starts out as a self-taught tinkerer before pursuing a more formal engineering education. She works on some smaller ships at starfleet before eventually ending up on the Enterprise NX-01 a few years into its journey, joining engineering as a junior lieutenant.

02. HANK HALLDC Comics*Metahumanmid-20s*fully headcanon based
TBD.My Hank is based loosely on DC Comics + JLU but I am taking those crumbs and running away with them. I am not engaging with his source material that much bc I don't really care for what they do with him. He is very headcanon based / two degrees of separation from canon and I'm trying to leave him better than I found him. I am interested in his relationship with his brother and how that affects how he interacts with the world pre- and post-Don's death, and what it means to create a mask for yourself that you don't even really like but you kind of believe.

— is one half of the metahuman hero duo "HAWK & DOVE". With his brother Don, Hank patrols the D.C. area as Hawk, a vigilante with a connection to the lord of chaos, giving him enhanced strength and durability. Often at odds with his pacifist brother, Hank believes that actions speak louder than words and isn't afraid to show people what he thinks of them, jumping into fights without too much caution. After Don dies, Hank wrestles with the war hawk identity he had long worn and the safety that had come from knowing Don was there to pull him back from his more violent nature.

I WAS HOLDING MY BLEEDING MOUTH BUT WE WERE LAUGHING.
When they are teenagers, Hank and his brother Don are given powers by cosmic forces of Order and Chaos, becoming the avatars of HAWK and DOVE. With enhanced strength and durability, Hawk hits the streets of Elmond, D.C., eager to show evildoers that they are about to get as good as they give. With about as much time spent fighting his pacifist kid brother as he does local criminals, Hank struggles to reach the notoriety and effect he is trying for.

ALL THIS ANGER WAS ONCE LOVE.
Hank doesn't know what to do with himself after Don dies. He hadn't even thought it could happen. He was the one who should get hurt, he was the one who was big and loud and scary. No one ever looked at his brother, they were always looking at him. And now he's alone, more alone than he had ever been in his whole life. And he's so angry at himself, and at Don, and at the world. And with Don gone who is going to be there to draw him back down from the wave that threatened to overwhelm him? So much more anger, and even more fear of letting it out. For the first time, he just wants someone to tell him what to do. To drag him back away from the line when he gets too close.

THE CLOSED WOUND AND THE BEATING HEART
After Don dies, Hank retreats into himself. He stays out as Hawk later and later, dealing with criminals harsher and harsher without the counterbalance of his brother. He barely sleeps, spending hours prowling the night until passing out back at his apartment after the sun is up, sleeping through midday and doing it all again. Where once the suit formed and dispersed around signs of danger, now his grief and rage lock it to his form until he finally reverts in unconsciousness. Hank's doing bad, so he spends as little time as Hank as he can. The only other person who understands the layered enormity of his grief is Andie Eliot, Lovebug, who had been dating Don before his death. Dealing with her own grief and seeing Hank's spiral, she decides to take up the mantle of Dove in Don's honor.

THE HEAVY THINGS WE CANNOT SHOULDER
Hank and Don get their powers when they are teenagers, and have a couple years working together as Hawk and Dove before the Avengers fail to stop Thanos and Don gets blipped after getting seriously wounded saving kids from a collapse. Hank is left there, alone. He retires the costume with his brother gone, but tried to get by in independent work with his limited enhancements. When the snap is undone, he feels a sense of hope he hadn't let himself even dream about -- but Don doesn't come back. Whether he died from his injuries upon his return or went missing, Hank never sees Don again. Finding few prospects for someone of his talents and running out of money, he ends up working for Valentina as Hank Hall -- a slightly enhanced, morally questionable asshole. It pays enough, and it suits him just fine to let someone else call the shots. He first meets the Thunderbolts* in the incinerator, and largely stays with them over the course of the film (though bails in the penthouse) until ending up in a nightmare room of his own, watching Don fade out of his grasp once again. When he breaks through to find the others, Hawk again for the first time in a decade, he just... brings his version of Don with him. When Bob sends everyone back, he unintentionally revives Don, spitting Dove out onto the streets of New York with the rest of them.

IF YOU GO, YOU HAVE TO STAY GONE.
Hank is only 9 when Don is taken away by the Jedi. His parents tell him Don is special, but Hank is older, and he's never had people fuss over him like that. And he could run faster, and was stronger, and Don was so little. Hank is only 9 when he learns that he is decidedly not-special. A little bit after Don leaves, things get worse. His parents are stressed about politics, the war isn't getting better, and then all of the Jedi younglings are killed. Hank isn't special, and then he is alone. He bounces around a little, not giving much credence to school or politics, to his parents' annoyance, and at 14 he runs away to join the resistance. He works hard for a couple years before starting to train as a pilot, eventually getting his own ship at age 19 and joining the Titan squadron when he's 21. It's during these missions and while doing field aid with FEAST that he reunites with his brother, who had survived order 66 all those years ago and had been living in hiding ever since.
